A Vegan Guesthouse & Café? A matter of the heart!

Welcome to Kampot in southern Cambodia! Discover the picturesque town and its beautiful natural surroundings and stay at Cambodhi – the only vegan guesthouse in the region. We also offer delicious plant-based food and drinks.

Soursdey! We are Tola & Patrick Thun. We run the Cambodhi Guesthouse & Café in the heart of the charming small town of Kampot in southern Cambodia.

We are situated in a non-touristic area with a village character, only a few minutes away from the city centre and the river. All sights are easily accessible. Our quiet neighbourhood provides a relaxing environment after a busy day of exploring and discovering.

We want to create a special place. For us, being vegan is not a lifestyle, but a conscious contribution to a better & fairer world, in which all beings are treated with respect. We make it easier for locals and tourists to reduce their ecological footprint.

In our guesthouse we offer you four thematically furnished double rooms with private bathroom, air conditioning and a balcony with a charming view.

Our café offers a delicious selection of plant-based dishes and drinks. Enjoy Cambodian and international creations in our lovingly decorated ground floor café with a book and game corner, or relax on our rooftop terrace with phenomenal views of Kampot’s mountains and the village surroundings with small lakes, sugar cane palms and grazing oxen.

Our contribution to sustainability

At Cambodhi we give our best to be as plastic free as possible. We don’t use plastic straws and our food delivery packages are made of compostable material. We strive to use sustainable materials for our furniture. For example, you will find many tables, chairs and cabinets made from local rattan and bamboo in our guesthouse & café. Whenever possible, we use locally produced products in our house. Many of our foods and drinks come from small producers in Kampot and the region. Much of the furniture was also manufactured directly in Kampot.

Supporting animals

We support local animal organisations in Kampot. We change the beneficiary on a regular basis. Choose the menu items or specials with the support logo or add a donation amount to your bill to support their work. From January until March 2024 we support the UCP – Unicat Rescue Project, who supports cats in need.

Events @ Cambodhi

We regularly organise events at the Cambodhi Guesthouse & Café. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram to find out about film screenings, readings, charity events and much more
